Polaroid has taken the zero-ink technology one step ahead. It has introduced a digital camera which can print without the trouble of linking it to a computer. In other words, the Polaroid PoGo Instant Digital Camera is a one-stop shop that solves your need for printing.
Imagine clicking your most wanted photos and getting the prints in ink-free 2- x 3-inch images, and all within 40 seconds. You can even crop and edit it with the camera, without linking it to an online printer. It seems like the answer to most photographers’ dreams.
Armed with a 3.0″ bright color LCD for viewing images, it has added features like 16 MB of internal memory, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, 16 MB of internal memory, an AC adapter/charger, a USB cable, a carrying pouch and a wrist strap.
The prints are smudge-free, full color, water resistant and tear resistant. One does not have the additional burden of handling ink cartridges or ribbons, which have to be disposed of. One can print up to 20 photos per battery charge.
The only aspect is the camera is unlikely to be a favourite of a professional photographer because there are no optical zooms and it has a 5 megapixel sensor. However, for any amateur or even semi-professional, the PoGo Instant Digital Camera is a runaway hit.
