BlackBerry Storm – Review
The stiff competition raging among cell phone companies is taking the world by storm. The competition continues to rock the planet as more and more cell phone models are created. In order to keep up with demand, BlackBerry introduces its new model, BlackBerry Storm.
BlackBerry Storm features a wireless email organizer and browser. There’s no need to face the computer and surf the net anymore since this unit will make it possible with just a touch of a button. Other features include a wireless email, organizer, browser, phone, camera, video recording, media player, built-in GPS, corporate data access, SMS and MMS.

It comes with a 3.5 mm stereo headset capable, integrated earpiece/ microphone, built-in speakerphone, Bluetooth v2.0, mono/stereo headset, and hands free capability. On the other hand, its video format is supported by MPEG4 H.263, MPEG4 Part 2 Simple Profile, H.264, WMV. Meanwhile, its audio format is supported by MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC=, WMA, WMA ProPlus.
BlackBerry Storm is also eye-friendly. It has a high resolution 480×360 pixel color display and transmissive TFT LCD. Moreover, you also get to choose the font size of your choice. It also has a light sensing screen so you can avoid hurting your eyes by looking intensely at the screen.
You can easily be notified by this cell phone in case you have a message or an oncoming call. It comes with a polyphonic/MIDI ringtones, MP3 ringtones, vibrate mode, and LED indicator. On the other hand, its battery can stand up to 15days of standby time, 5.5 hours of GSM and 6 hours CDMA.
With regard to phone memory, BlackBerry Storm has an expandable memory with 1GB onboard memory and 128 MB Flash memory. It is also equipped with tethered modem capability, allowing you to surf the internet or send emails. Furthermore, it is network-friendly. With regard to its email integrations capability, it works with BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Microsoft Exchange, BlackBerry Enterprise Server for IBM Lotus Domino, and BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Novell GroupWise. Moreover, it integrates with an existing enterprise email account and existing personal email account. It can also be integrated with an optional new device account.
